ZADS is a team of architects and interior designers in Karachi. We design homes, villas, apartments and offices in DHA, Clifton and across the city, and we plan how each room works before deciding how it looks: flow, storage, joinery, ceilings, light and materials.
Because the same team draws the interior and the building around it, ceilings, lighting, plumbing and joinery are coordinated before work starts on site. You get furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, joinery and wet-area details and finish schedules, with 3D views and material boards to help you decide.
We then stay on the job. Site visits, contractor queries and snag lists are handled against the approved drawings, and every project has a client portal where you can see what was agreed, what is happening on site and where the money went.
In practice
At Hilal Residence, an 11,000 sq ft house in DHA Phase 6, the structure stayed and almost everything else was reconsidered. Furniture layouts, circulation, doors and windows, ceilings, lighting and flooring were designed together across three levels, so each room has a clear purpose and the rooms connect. The marble breakfast bar between the kitchen and the dining table was drawn that way and built that way.

How much does an interior designer cost in Karachi?
It depends on the size of the space and how much we do: design only, or design with full drawings and site supervision. We quote after a short call and, where needed, a site visit. For a first idea of construction and finishing costs, try the cost calculator on this site.
How is interior architecture different from interior decoration?
Interior architecture is about how rooms work: circulation, storage, joinery, ceilings, lighting and wet areas, drawn so they can be built. Furniture and styling is a separate service that completes it.
Which kinds of spaces do you design?
Houses and villas, apartments, single rooms such as kitchens and bedrooms, offices and hospitality interiors.
Do you supervise the interior work on site?
Yes, when it is part of the scope. We visit site, answer contractor queries against the drawings, check joinery and finishes as they go in, and close out with a snag list.
Which areas of Karachi do you work in?
Mostly DHA and Clifton, and anywhere else in Karachi. Our studio is in DHA Phase 8.
What drawings will I receive?
Furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, joinery and wet-area details, and finish schedules coordinated with the building services. Boards, specifications and optional 3D views help you settle decisions before work starts on site.
Can overseas or remote clients track progress easily?
Yes. Through the private ZADS Client Portal, remote and overseas clients access real-time milestone timelines, approve drawings, view fortnightly video consultation summaries, and inspect site photo updates without needing to visit Pakistan.
Is ZADS a licensed PCATP architectural practice in Pakistan?
Yes. Principal Architect Abdullah Zamir is officially registered with the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP Reg. No. A-09626). Our drawing packages comply with local building bylaws (DHA, SBCA, CDA, and cantonment boards).
