From an empty shell
The apartment was handed over as bare white rooms facing the sea. The fit-out is on site now; this page follows it.

About the project
Brief
Fit out an empty two-level shell as a five-bedroom family home, with the furniture and lighting designed for it.
The apartment
The townhouse sits on the third and fourth floors of The Views tower at Emaar Crescent Bay, Karachi: 5,000 sq ft over two levels, planned like a ground-plus-one house. Its living room rises nearly 24 feet behind a full-height glass wall, and the staircase and mezzanine look into it. There are five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom; the fifth was a study until the family needed the room.
The idea
The interior design takes its forms from water, without nautical motifs. A custom chandelier of droplet-shaped pieces hangs in the double-height drawing room, and the dining table has the long, curved outline of a whale. Sofas, tables and light fittings were all designed for this home, sized to its rooms.
Material
A Sandalwood travertine wall anchors the drawing room, beside dark veined marble with brass inlays. Timber ceiling panels sit over the dining area with linear lighting set into them, and the stair has a solid wood rail. The palette stays warm and quiet so the sea view and the furniture carry the rooms.
On site now
The apartment was handed over as an empty white shell in June 2025. The fit-out is under way: wall panelling and the slatted timber walls are going in, joinery is being made in the workshop, and fabrics are being chosen on site. This page will be updated as rooms are finished.
